The Spanish ended their long 44 year wait for a major international trophy in the Euro 2008 Final in Vienna, as they were crowned European Champions at the end of a truly brilliant tournament. Fernando Torres scored the only goal of the game to beat a plucky, but in the end outclassed, Germany side.
