Patronise F1 takes a long and unrelenting look back at the season that passed in 2011, in which Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull somewhat swept the field, but the racing kept everyone interested nevertheless.
It has been a season of Germanic domination, but also one that has provided more standalone moments of excitement than plenty of recent F1 seasons, from the madcap races in China and Canada, to some trouser-soiling passes such as Mark Webber's Eau Rouge dive on Fernando Alonso at Spa, through to the hilarity of Felipe Massa and Lewis Hamilton's late-season lovers tiff.
It was also a season that began with the uncomfortable hassle of the off-again, on-again Bahrain Grand Prix, featured the slightly dubious debut of DRS wings, saw Pirelli reinvent the pit stop strategy battle before forgetting what they were supposed to be doing and re-destroying the pit stop strategy battle and featured Jan Charouz's thrilling FP1 debut in Brazil.
Over the month of December, Patronise F1's season review will slowly but surely take you back through the thrills and spills of Sebastian Vettel's second championship win, as well as ascribing nebulous grades to each team and driver to judge their performance throughout the year.
All of Patty's writers will then have the chance to hand out their awards for the season, awarding the best and the worst (in their own, impressively biased opinion) that 2011 had to offer.
As the review comes online, each new part will be able to be accessed from this index page, should you start to lose track.
