The Red Bull team are set for another season of Renault power in 2010 after finally sorting out their engine supply issues, while Sebastian Vettel has said that the team must look to target a championship win for next season.

The caffeinated team had been looking for a switch to Mercedes power for 2010, after suffering from a number of reliability issues with their Renault units in the middle of the season.

But although the Mercedes option remained open, the lengthy negotiations over the deal mean that the team have now opted to keep with the French manufacturer for another season at least.

Team boss Christian Horner also insisted that the strength of the Renault engine in the latter stages of the season was a positive, and said that he believed that Renault would be a stronger contender once refuelling is banned in 2010.

"Since Monza, Renault have remarkably raised their game and done everything they could for us to have such a strong finish of the year", Horner grinned, quickly scribbling out the Mercedes logos on their preliminary sketches for the 2010 livery.

"Renault has fuel-efficient engines which will be very important in 2010."

Meanwhile, Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel has insisted that the team should be looking to win both championships in 2010 after the team came of age this season.

"There's only one step to do better, for the team's ranking as well as for the drivers' for myself. There's no question about the target," Vettel told the press while he is at the Race of Champions in Beijing.

Vettel, who won four times last season and finished second in the final standings, said that he could not see why the team shouldn't be able to move further up the pecking order next year.

When asked about whether a title challenge in 2010 was realistic, he replied: "I think so. We have been growing a lot already this year.

"It was the first time we were in that situation and I think we got along quite well, but there were lessons to be learned and I think we are on the right way. The team is doing fantastically well, we have a great atmosphere, everybody for sure now needs the break to relax a little bit with the family.

"But at the same time I know that everybody is extremely motivated to come back as soon as possible, build the new car and make the next season better than this."

Vettel made up for losing out to Jenson Button in the F1 season by taking victory for Team Germany in today's Nations Cup in Beijing, beating Button and Team Great Britain in the final.
