New team boss Adrian Campos has promised that his team's F1 future will be secured on Monday next week, and has once again criticised the number of rumours flying around concerning the future of his troubled Formula One team.
The Campos Meta team is still struggling to secure the funding needed for their 2010 season, and has been subject to a number of speculative rumours suggesting that the team would not make it to the start of the 2010 season.
But Campos has insisted that he is confident that the team's future will be sorted out at the start of next week, and once again criticised the rumour mill surrounding his team.
"We are trying to have everything solved on Monday - and people are saying a lot of stupid things. Some are true and some are not," Campos shouted at the BBC, "We are working very hard to be in Bahrain."
Although some reports have said that a deal to have A1GP boss Tony Teixeira buy into the team have been completed, but Campos would not be drawn on confirming that Teixeira was involved.
"The problem is we have confidentiality clauses in everything we are doing," he shrugged sadly.
The Spaniard also admitted that the team had missed payments to Dallara, the Italian company that is designing the Campos team's chassis for 2010, but that they were working on correcting this "problem".
"Sometimes we pay the [instalment of] 7m Euros to Dallara and sometimes we don't have the money. We are trying to solve the problem." Campos replied.
He also drew a line under recent rumours that the Stefan GP team was set to buy the intellectual rights to the Dallara chassis in the next week, leaving Campos with out a car.
"No, [Dallara] can't do that - we have a contract with them," Campos insisted.
The team are still without a second driver, and have yet to announce when they will launch and begin testing their 2010 car. Last month, Campos insiders suggested that the team might miss the whole of the pre-season testing schedule before flying out to Bahrain.
