Klien to deputise for HRT in Brazil

The backmarking Hispania Racing team will once again shuffle their deck of drivers for the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend, with test driver Christian Klien again replacing Sakon Yamamoto for the duration of the Interlagos event.

Klien has already deputised for Yamamoto at the Singapore Grand Prix, when the Japanese driver was ruled out with food poisoning.

But this driver switch appears to be a tactical move by HRT, with the team potentially looking to maximise their chances of taking tenth place in the constructors standings from Lotus.

Klien impressed in his appearance in Singapore, outqualifying team mate Bruno Senna by over a second despite his limited experience with the car.

"I am excited to come to Brazil where I already raced two times, the last time in 2005, and where I could achieve good results," Klien rambled in the team's official race preview, which again served to break the news of the team's line up.

He added: "I am very happy to get a second opportunity to do another Grand Prix here after Singapore and I hope that we are doing a good weekend with positive results."

Meanwhile, team boss Colin Kolles added that: "For both drivers, it is going to be an interesting race as Bruno Senna is racing for the first time in front of the Brazilian crowd and for Christian Klien, as he gets another chance after Singapore to race again.

"We are hoping to have a good race weekend again."

The backmarking Spanish team have spent the 2010 season shuffling their drivers around.

They began the season with Senna alongside Karun Chandhok in their race seats, before Senna was replaced by Yamamoto for a one-off weekend at the British Grand Prix.

After that race, Yamamoto then replaced Chandhok seemingly in a full time capacity, but Klien has now been drafted in twice to replace the Japanese driver.

Meanwhile, HRT driver Senna has downplayed recent reports that he is on the verge of a switch to the Lotus team for 2011.

"There is nothing certain with regards to 2011, my focus now is to finish this championship in the best possible way," he burbled to the Brazilian media.

"There are still plenty of decisions yet to come."
