The Hispania Racing team will once again run Christian Klien alongside regular driver Bruno Senna in the 2010 season finale at the Abu Dhabi circuit this weekend, as they push for the prized 10th place in the constructors standings.
Klien signed as a test driver with the newbie Spanish team earlier in the season, and has so far driven for them at the Singapore and Brazilian weekends.
He has impressed on both occasions, outqualifying Senna by a significant amount at both races, though he failed to finish the race in Singapore and was classified last in Brazil after suffering mechanical issues that left him six laps down.
Klien will once again replace Sakon Yamamoto at the team, as he did in his first two appearances.
The announcement of Klien and Senna for the final race of the season brings to an end the HRT merry-go-round in their race seats this year, and also ends any vague hopes Karun Chandhok may have had of returning to competition before the end of the season.
Speaking about his latest chance to race in F1, Klien said that he was hoping to have a "clean weekend" in the final race of the season.
"It's my third chance to compete for the team this season and I'm getting more and more used to the car and the crew," he bellowed on Wednesday.
"I hope we can achieve some great results and have a clean weekend. We should have a similar pace to the one in Brazil, so I think we can be a challenge for the [other] new teams."
HRT are currently 11th in the constructors championship, and will need to top Lotus's 12th place finish in the Japanese Grand Prix if they want to achieve their unlikely aim of a top ten finish in the standings.
But the team are believed to see Klien as a more likely candidate to secure that result than Yamamoto.
In the team's preview of the Abu Dhabi race, team boss Colin Kolles said: "After a positive result in Brazil, we are eager to keep on closing the gap to the other new teams and fight for positions with them."
