The Scuderia Toro Rosso squad will join the exciting three-way launch party lined up for next Monday, after confirming that they will become the third team to unveil their 2012 machine the day before the first pre-season test.

Toro Rosso will unveil their 2012 car at the Jerez track on February 6th, with the first test set to begin at the Spanish track a day later.

The Italian team will join Sauber and Red Bull in launching their car on the Monday, at the end of a hectic run of launches throughout the next few days.

McLaren will launch their new car tomorrow, with Ferrari and Force India unveiling their cars on Friday, before Lotus release shots of their new car on Sunday.

The new STR7 has already passed all the mandatory FIA crash tests, and will be given its track debut by new signing Daniel Ricciardo on the first two days of the test.

STR's second new 2012 driver Jean-Eric Vergne will then take over for the second half of the test.

The team will go into the 2012 season with a brand-new driver line-up, after dropping both Sebastien Buemi and Jaime Alguersuari at then end of 2011.

Toro Rosso's pair of youngsters are regarded to be in a 'shoot-out' in 2012, potentially for a chance of a drive at Red Bull should Mark Webber retire at the end of the season.

But speaking recently, both drivers insisted that they were only focusing on their current season, rather than where the drive might lead.

"Since my karting days I've always had the philosophy to think only of the present," Vergne told the Servus TV station.

"For example, I've never thought about Formula One, but only the season I was in. In 2012 I drove for Toro Rosso; 2013 does not interest me now.

"I will give my best and then we'll see what comes up."

Ricciardo added: "Of course I'd be happy to drive for Red Bull – that's the big goal of all the Red Bull juniors.

"If we do everything right and we get the right results, then perhaps we will succeed in a year or two or three."

Toro Rosso finished in 8th place in the 2011 constructors championship, with 41 points.
